"There is enough plastic already out there, particularly single-use plastics, to last us 18 lifetimes...", says Tim, our co-founder.
Now that may seem like a strange number to quote. But it's actually not. It's just simple maths.
The fact is that the plastics currently in circulation, or already polluting our environment will still be there in 450 years (or more) from now.....That's 18 generations into our future.
"For us, that's a big enough reason to draw a line in the sand and say NO MORE." Tim continues.
"We understand the connection between the health of our planet and the impact of single- use plastics and believe that the current rate of plastic production is entirely unsustainable.
"But there's more to it than that.
"We also believe that improvements to recycling, more responsible disposal options and a variety of other high tech solutions ,such as bioplastics, do not solve the problem either.
"They are only addressing the symptoms.
"We believe the real answer is to tackle the real cause of the issue head on. We must eliminate the plastic altogether.
"Only when the quantity of plastics entering our ecosystem is curbed will we be able to start to make headway with the whole process of cleaning up the current environmental disaster we have brought upon ourselves.
"We have gone down the only route we believe, and know, to be technically achievable, commercially viable, environmentally sustainable and ethically defensible. And that route is zero plastic." he concludes.
Our founding team got together (several years ago) to address the growing issue of plastic packaging pollution, and set out to find a solution.
And that is what we have done.
Our Zero Plastic packaging uses only natural and sustainable materials and is 100% biodegradable, compostable, recyclable and sustainable.
